About Me

Life can be hard sometimes. We all have ups and downs, however some occasions are easier to cope with than others.

Maybe you feel you have no one you can talk to about your fears, anxieties and problems and this understandably could make you feel very overwhelmed. Or perhaps you may have many friends and family but feel unable to share these with them. This is where I, as a professionally trained and qualified counsellor can assist you in overcoming these obstacles to your well-being. You may just need someone to listen whole heartedly. I am here for you, to listen without judgement, without prejudice.

Choosing a counsellor can feel like a task in itself, my intention is to make this simple for you, it is your choice. A little about me -  My name is Chloé and I choose to work integratively which means I have extensive training in a variety of different styles to be able to ensure the therapy fits around your needs, not the other way around. These include Person Centred, Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Inner Child, Dreamwork, and existential theories.

I have a lot of experience working with people that are having difficulties in the areas of bereavement, anxiety, trauma, depression, divorce, self-esteem issues, family matters, perinatal and postnatal support, Hyperemesis Gravidarum and many other areas.

I understand and recognise that the relationship between counsellor and client is vitally important and therefore offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation where you are invited to contact me to see if you would like to work with me.

Alongside my practice I work part of the week in a hospice as an Adult Bereavement Counsellor. I am currently an active volunteer with Pregnancy Sickness Support which is a charity close to my heart. I am also accredited by the Foundation For Infant Loss in supporting parents, grandparents and family members of those affected by infant loss and those experiencing the wealth of emotions surrounding this. I was also a volunteer bereavement supporter with Cruse Bereavement Charity for three years.

I hold an enhanced DBS Certificate and am fully insured and an Individual member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
